Ms. Sophie has acted as an Partner of GBS since 2016, she is in charge of day to day operation of the firm. Prior to joining GBS, Sophie has worked for a leading law firm for over 10 years.

The professional practice of Sophie is on investment, corporate and contract as well as merger and acquisition, intellectual property; Litigation and Dispute Resolution. Her clients are mainly the multinational companies and investment funds in Vietnam.

Ms. Sophie received the Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) at Ho Chi Minh University of Law. She is a member of the Ho Chi Minh City Bar Association.

Prior to joining GBS, Philip has over ten years working in legal field as business lawyer at top tier law firms, global consulting group and commercial properties company. His broad and intensive expertise covers labor, corporate compliance and M&A transactions. Phillip has advised a large number of foreign and domestic clients on their projects in Vietnam in various industries such as renewable energy, healthcare and beauty, food and instant noodles, steel manufacturing, construction, distribution, logistics, fund management, commercial property, etc.

Mr. Philip received LLB in International Commercial Law, University of Law and Economics, Vietnam National University – Ho Chi Minh City in 2010; LLM candidate in Economic Law, University of Law and Economics, Vietnam National University – Ho Chi Minh City in 2011. He is also a member of the Ho Chi Minh City Bar Association.

Nguyen Minh Duc (Mr.)

His practice focuses on corporate clients in various fields of business from commercial, taxation, construction and real estate to M&A transactions, securities, corporate finance, banking, and insurance.

In addition, Duc is also an active member of CFA and financial advisory communities in Vietnam.

Nguyen T. Ngoc Diep
Partner - Deputy Director

Ms. Nguyen Thi Ngoc Diep is in charge of Education and Human Resource business for GBS and its clients.

With 10 years working in the Education Industry, she has good relationships with education and training division in almost of Vietnam and secondary schools, colleges and universities, to help the private school establish training program and they can give Vietnamese students good knowledge and be able to continue oversea.

Prior to GBS, Diep worked as HR Director Sao Bac Dau Technology Group, Digiworld Corporation, Phu Gia Securities JSC. She has a lot of HR Experiences, currently she is a member of HR association in Ho Chi Minh City and she is consulting about HR to help medium and small companies to build policy regime, human resource strategy and other works in this area.

Philip Tissot
International Client Service Manager (Malta Office)

Philip has over 30 years’ experience of assisting companies internationalize their business and is an expert in financial and economic reporting, trade and investment promotion, global trade policy, intellectual property and immigration matters. His last Diplomatic posts were as Ambassador and Deputy Permanent Representative to the United Nations, the World Trade Organisation and other international organizations in Geneva. He previously served in London, Nigeria, Canada, the US, Malta and Hong Kong and he also took on various other assignments in Africa and the Middle East. 
His role is to develop the company’s footprint in the Far and Middle East by assisting clients with tax efficiency and wealth management services, particularly those looking to relocate to Malta or who would like to take advantage of the benefits of Malta citizenship and/or residency schemes. Philip is an English and French speaker.
Currently, Philip is head of the Far and Middle Eastern Desk, BT International Limited, as associated firm with GBS in Malta. 

Chu Hai Yen
Director of The Financial Consulting & Accounting

Ms. Chu Hai Yen is one of the key members of GBS. She is Director of The Financial & Accounting Consulting Department of GBS. With more than 10 years experience in finance and accounting field as well as tax advisor, she is one of active members who contributed to make GBS's Finance and Accounting department and its clients to be stronger. She plays an important role in the management and supervision of  financial enterprises, implementation of accounting policies consistent with healthy development requirements based on the company's compliance and risk management with accounting standards and government's regulations to ensure the truthfulness and accuracy of financial accounting reports, assist customers in planning the creation of risk management procedures, support advice to customers in the contracts related to credit and attract fund raising ...

Prior to joining GBS, Ms. Yen has held important positions in large corporations such as Chief Financial Officer of Global Auto, Manager of Investment Department of the VM Group (specializing in the authorized import  Volkswagen Brand  and provide after sales services for customer which own these cars as well as authorized assembler and distributor of Hyundai Group's Porter light trucks), Finance & Accounting Manager of Vinatrust ( specializing in real estate business and provide F&B services), and Treasury Specialist of Prudential Vietnam. Furthermore, Ms. Yen is also a Finance Director of VietCapital Securities - One of the leading securities company in Vietnam.

She has a Accounting and Auditing Bachelor Degree and Business Administration Bachelor Degree of The University of Economics of HCM City  as well as she has completed  a short course about  Business English Communication of Australian Magill training school , had excellent  CFO certificate of The University of Economics of HCM City . She is currently studying CPA Australia.

Prior to GBS, Thanh enjoyed a flourishing career at HTC Advertising Corporation and Dong Da Trading & Service Company in Hanoi Capital. Thanh has a Bachelor in Economical Law from Dong Do University, Hanoi, Vietnam.
